1928: Kitty started designing gardens. She was taught by herself and her father. She read books and magazines. Her father was a carpenter who built rockeries and garden ponds. She was inspired by Edna Walling.
Her gardens were naturalistic with rockeries and a mix of native and exotic plants.
She also worked as a florist. Designed many wedding bouquets.
1954: Queen Elizabeth liked the bouquet given to her and asked to meet the designer. Kitty Henry.
