1883: Theodore Thomson Flynn was born in New South Wales.
Educated at Fort Street High School, Sydney, Sydney Training College for Teachers and the University of Sydney (B.Sc., 1907).
1907: Teaches in Newcastle and Maitland High schools and Technical colleges, lecturing in chemistry and physics.
1909: Became lecturer in biology at the University of Tasmania (Domain House). Married Lily Young.
1909: Errol was born.
1911: TT Flynn appointed professor of Biology at University of Tasmania. Some of his work in embryology and Tasmanian mammals is still quoted.
His special area was Tasmania’s marsupials. His son Errol helped him by trapping bettongs.
1912: TT Flynn's research included a trip to Antarctic with Mawson. Flynn Lake on Macquarie Island is named after him.
TT Flynn was always worried about his son Errol. TT Flynn never knew where Errol was or what he was doing. Which may be a good thing. Errol was always broke and always asked his father for money.
TT Flynn was a regular contact of Kitty Henry who designed the Rose Garden.
1930: TT Flynn moved to Northern Ireland.
1948: Retired to Surrey, England.
1959: Errol dies in Vancouver Canada.
1968: TT Flynn passes away.
